Ansonia Hotel Upper West Side

The Ansonia Hotel was a residential hotel and now an apartment in the Beaux-Arts style in Manhattan’s West Side. The Ansonia has a colorful history including at one point having a rooftop farm with dairy cows, chickens and a bear. The residents received chicken eggs as a service to their door by bellhop! Residents of the Ansonia included Babe Ruth, Igor Stravinsky, and Arturo Toscanini.
